Hi, I’m Dr. Joanna!
Chiropractic care that honours your lived experience - at every size, every stage, for every member of your family.
I created this practice for people who’ve felt dismissed, judged, or overlooked in other health care spaces. As a large-bodied provider, I know how frustrating and hurtful it can be when your body is treated like a problem instead of a person.
My work is rooted in alignment—alignment with your comfort, your choices, and your whole self.
Whether you’re living with pain, preparing for birth, healing postpartum, or supporting your children, this is a place where your story matters and your body is respected. This is care that meets you exactly where you are.
Care that aligns with who you are. Real care, for real bodies.
Let’s Work Together
Support for every stage of your life, tailored to what your body needs right now.
Pregnancy & Postpartum
Pregnancy and postpartum can bring real discomfort, but pain shouldn’t be something you simply accept. I offer gentle, evidence-informed chiropractic care—including the Webster Technique—to help you feel supported, aligned, and more at ease in your body.
Paediatrics
Babies and children can experience tension, feeding challenges, or mobility discomfort—but these aren’t things you have to just wait out. I offer gentle, evidence-informed pediatric chiropractic care to help your little one feel more comfortable, relaxed, and supported as they grow.
All Bodies
All bodies deserve care that feels safe, respectful, and fully free of size or weight bias. Your body is not a barrier to care—I offer gentle, evidence-informed, size-inclusive chiropractic support to help you move with greater comfort, ease, and confidence, exactly as you are.
Areas of Practice
I take pride in creating a healing environment where all patients are heard and their needs are prioritized. I am here to hold space and provide care so that you and your family can flourish.
Webster Certified Chiropractic Care for the entire family
I offer body-inclusive, evidence-informed chiropractic care for every stage of life, with specialized training in prenatal care. As a Webster Technique–certified chiropractor, I use a specific, gentle approach to support pelvic balance during pregnancy by addressing joint function and soft tissue tension in the low back and pelvis. This can help improve comfort and reduce many common pregnancy-related aches. Webster certification involves advanced training beyond standard chiropractic education, ensuring care that is both safe and tailored for pregnant bodies.
Alongside prenatal care, I work with individuals and families of all ages and sizes—from infants to older adults—providing personalized treatment for concerns such as back and neck pain, headaches, scoliosis, postural challenges, TMJ dysfunction (jaw pain) and overall wellness. My approach is grounded in respect, inclusivity, and collaboration, with care always shaped around your lived experience, goals, and needs.
Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, evidence-informed manual approach used to support nervous system regulation and overall comfort. It focuses on identifying and easing subtle restrictions that can contribute to tension, pain, or dysregulation in the body. CST uses very light pressure and is often integrated into a broader chiropractic care plan.
This approach may help support the body’s natural ability to regulate and adapt, and can be appropriate for people of all ages—from newborns to adults. CST is commonly used alongside other treatments to support comfort, mobility, and ease, particularly when a gentle approach is needed.
Prenatal Education
Birth is a meaningful, deeply personal experience—for the birthing person and the whole family. How we prepare can influence our transition into postpartum, our relationship with our bodies, and the way we step into parenting.
My approach to childbirth education is empowering, inclusive, and tailored to your unique needs. I focus on providing practical tools, evidence-informed information, and supportive strategies so you can feel confident and grounded in your choices—whatever those choices may be.
Whether you’re planning a vaginal or belly (cesarean) birth, welcoming your first or fourth baby, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of the birth process, my classes are designed to meet you exactly where you are.
What People Are Saying
Land Acknowledgment
I acknowledge with respect that I live and work on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional lands of the Néhiyawak (Cree), Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Nakoda (Stoney), Dene, Anishinaabe (Ojibway/Saulteaux), Métis, and Inuit peoples. This area is also part of the Métis Nation homeland.
I recognize the ongoing impacts of colonization, systemic racism, and harm experienced by First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples within healthcare systems. I am committed to anti-colonial practice, cultural humility, and continual learning.
I am deeply grateful to Indigenous communities and knowledge keepers who share their experiences, sustain traditional healing practices, and continue to lead the way toward sovereignty and self-determination.
Everyone is Welcome
As someone who welcomes all, I use inclusive language to respect diverse bodies, genders, and relationships. People express gender and sexuality differently and have varied biological traits. Inclusive language ensures no one is excluded and reflects the diversity of those I serve. On this website, I use varied terms to represent this diversity, recognizing language is personal, evolving, and powerful. I aim to stay current and welcome feedback. My language guidance comes from BCCDC and TransCare BC.
